Uttara Group of industries started its operation in Bangladesh in 1973 through trading, Uttara Traders (Pvt) Limited.  Then the Group expanded its business to RMG sector, establishing Uttara Spinning Mills Ltd 1993.  The Group established Uttara Acrylic Mills Ltd, During the 90’s, Government of Bangladesh started to privatize government owned Jute Mills, through which Uttara Group decided to acquire Ashraf Jute Mills Limited (renamed it as Uttara Jute Fibres & Industries Ltd. and Nabarun Jute Mills Limited. Later on the Group established Uttara Rotor yarn limited in 2006

Uttara Jute Fibers & Industries Ltd. Is one of the large & biggest most well reputed Jute Product Manufacturer Company in Bangladesh today. Established in1989, Uttara Jute Fibers & Industries Ltd. Remains as a fully Export Oriented organization. Current Production range of Uttara Jute Fibers & Industries Ltd. 18,000 M.Tons per annum with a vision to invest more on R & D in Jute & Jute Product Development. Our main product is Hession, Sacking, CBC, Jute Webbing & Jute Yarn etc. The Factory located at Kanchon, Rupgonj, Narayanganj on 42.16 acres of own Land.
